(2015 - Partnershship project)      This project, done in partnership with and for RATP, questions the introduction of autonomous vehicles as a public transportation service. Our project is thought for a very close future, people being still wary of driverless vehicles, we decided to work on the way to get people used to mix with this new kind of transport.

 

During rush hours, Groov’ will follow the bus, to make sure everyone can have a seat, respecting everybody’s vital space. Seeing the vehicle following the bus with an actual driver, as if it was on a rail, will make users feel comfortable.

Then over time, Groov’ could get more and more freedom, before reaching total autonomy. 

 

During the off-peak time, the vehicle can go on pedestrian lanes and drive slowly, offering its services to volunteers, and getting people used to its presence.
